Margaret Mary's Prayer

Yesterday durring prayer time, I asked Margaret Mary what she wanted to pray for. This was her answer:

"Dear God, please help me to be patient waiting for my birthday and help me to go to heaven."

Beautiful.

When I asked Henry who he wanted to pray for, he yelled "Papa!".

 Love it.

Day One, Part Two

We finished up our day with Naps, watching the Olympics and then heading downtown for ice cream.

It takes a while for everyone to look at the camera...

MM commented after seeing these pics, "I'm not very good at eating ice cream!"  MM gobbles her ice cream up in a matter of minutes and then comes over to Henry to ask him to share.  Henry eats his ice cream very slowly and meticulously, getting a small sliver on his spoon and then bringing it carefully to his mouth.  He almost always shares...

MM had to check out the salt water taffy machine. It really is intriguing... Too bad the candy is disgusting!

Papa also insisted on visiting the hat store...

I love these little ones!  Esp when they are kind to each other! (aka Henry not chasing a screaming scared MM around growling like a dinosaur...)

And, last but not least, proof that I was there.

More to come!

Hiking at Bear Lake

Sitting on this rock was my favorite moment of the whole hike.  I was too nervous with the baby in the sling to walk out on the rock, but Jason took the kids.  Henry was memorized by the scenery and sat staring at the lake in awe.  Margaret Mary, on the other hand, spent the whole time trying to talk Papa into playing house on the rock.   I spent the whole time trying not to yell over and over again to "be careful!" This is them on their walk back.

It really was a perfect morning. Ate breakfast, took a long time drinking our coffee, packed up and visited this place.

We loved staring at the water.

Henry even had to prop his foot up on the rock, just like Papa. :)

We walked around the lake and ate wild berries.

The kids loved running on the trails and looking out over the rocks, but by the end, Papa had to carry them both.

Our Vacation to the Rockies...coming soon!

The classic gift for six years of marriage is something wood.  We decided to celebrate by taking a little vacation to check out the woods in the Rocky Mountains. Much more pictures to come...

The Difference Between Girls and Boys

At the Garden the other day, I told the kids it was time to leave but they could pick a flower before we left. MM came running up to me showing off her flower.

It wasn't until I stopped taking pictures of my sweet daughter that I realized Henry had taken my command to the extreme:

I would have taken pics of him with his treasure, but one of the Garden staff people were watching me. So I had to sneak this pic and bury his plant back in the ground.

Here are a couple of other cute pics from the trip:

Before I forget, I have to note that Henry LOVES to pretend to cook. This is him showing me his soup.  He likes to show us his food and then tell us it is hot and not to touch.  Recently, since I have been soaking my grains and oatmeal overnight before we eat them, the kids have started to cover their bowls with little towels and let them sit before they do other things to them. I love it!

Learning to ride bikes...

My poor kids. They love sitting on their bikes on the porch, but rarely do I have the strength the lug two bikes (and three babies!) over to the park to practice.  The other day we all went out as a family only to find out that Margaret Mary's training wheels don't work with her bike. :( oh well...at least the pics came out cute!

The proud girl...

The adventurous boy...

This is about as far as MM got because her training wheels got stuck on her tires. :( She was a good sport though.

This guy had fun.  We think its really funny that Henry's head is so large he can wear his Papa's tree climbing helmet.

We left about as soon as we came. Henry fell off his bike and I freaked out.  I don't know how I am going to manage with TWO boys.  Their need for adventure and speed really scare me.  Sacred Heart of Jesus, we put all our trust in you!

My parent's Visit

We Built nests... (one of MM's FAVORITE things to do!)

We danced at Summer Night Concerts...

and had a great time! Thanks for all the fun!
